Kim Mercer

Owner/Massage Therapist

My interest and passion about health and wellness has been a lifelong passion. As a personal journey navigating my own health challenges and chronic pain, I have studied various forms of healing for both mind and body.

Education includes a B.S. from the University of MN, Southwest Institute of Healing Arts as a Master Level Massage Therapist (LMT), & Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

I have many techniques to draw from when I am working with a client to help meet their individual needs. My experience and training has allowed me to develop a customized system for assessing, treating, and preventing soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. It is my goal to help my clients find a sense of well-being through relaxation, reducing stress, eliminating chronic pain and increasing flexibility.

Specialty techniques of study and/or certifications include: Massage Cupping, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myoskeletal Therapy, Postural Restoration Integration, Myotherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Biomechanic Restructuring, Neurokinetic Therapy, and Pre- and Post-Natal Massage.

Heather Daves

Massage Therapist

I am an Arizona native. I completed my education at Arizona School of Massage Therapy over 12 years ago. I am passionate about my work. Clients consistently give me 5 star ratings and and say I am a gifted massage therapist who is detail-oriented. I believe in helping you find the source of your pain, not just what hurts at the moment, giving you a longer lasting feeling of relief. My work history includes work at both medical settings and day spas. This combination of experience has helped me to be able to incorporate both relaxing and therapeutic styles to my personal massage technique. I love assisting clients in their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Some of my favorite techniques include: Medical Massage, Massage Cupping, Sports Massage, Swedish/Relaxation, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, as well as some Thai and Shiatsu methods.

Sara is bringing years of experience and many tools to help her patients find freedom and relief. She will be offering the following services.

Dry Needling: Integrative dry needling uses a skinny mono-filament needle to treat tight muscles and areas of pain. This physical therapy technique involves needle insertion in the primary areas of tightness to decrease pain, decrease tightness and get you to return to many of your activities pain-free and can be for any diagnosis.

Assisted StretchingStretch therapy utilizes various physical therapy techniques and stretching exercises to treat a variety of conditions to provide relief to tight muscles. The goal of stretch therapy is to improve range of motion, flexibility, and function. Effective stretching takes at least 30 seconds in order for physical changes to the muscle fibers to happen, so let Releaseology put the time and effort into releasing those overworked muscles! Read more about why seeing a physical therapist for stretching is beneficial here.

Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT)

Sara fell in love with NKT after receiving dramatic changes in her own pain. Neurokinetic Therapy is a sophisticated assessment and treatment modality that addresses the causes of dysfunctional movement/coordination problems at their root. Sara knew this would completely revitalize her practice and approach with it’s ability to find the ROOT cause of pain and dysfunction. Sara is ecstatic for her clients to experience the relief she received thanks to NKT.

Sara has her own website where you can explore and learn more about her and her services! https://www.releaseology.com/
